Sure maybe the big things have been spoiled but there are still a ton of little things in the books to enjoy. There are a lot of things that are revealed. Don't worry about what you have heard just read them and try to concentrate on what you are reading now. I didn't read HP until the last one came out and I had read the spoilers. I still loved it and enjoyed every word.
You simply don't listen to them. Just because you know what happens doesn't mean the book is no longer good. You watch Titanic but you know it sinks, that doesn't matter. In fact, it may allow you to see things that you normally wouldn't the first time around. And if you reread books, you don't do that to find something out, you do it because you enjoy the stories. Simple as that. Enjoy the stories whether you know what happens or not. Harry Potter is excellent no matter if you know what happens or not, so grab a cup of cocoa, light a fire log and curl up in a rocker with the seventh book.
I started the series in 2001 and was able to read the last three as they came out. It was very exciting. And there are so many more surprises for you like the relationships between the characters and the plot twist and turns and don't forget all the things you'll learn in the histories of tall the characters I count about 10 more surprises for you but I'm very sure that its more than that. Don't let the spoilers take the real magic away from these wonderful books. And don't forget that JK has a new book out of childhood stories from the Deathly Hallows you'll understand when you get to that book.
Happy Reading!!
The Harry Potter universe is vast, and the story is complex and has many layers, so even though you've heard some major spoilers like Dumbledore dying there's still so much more to the books.
You can take me as an example. I only began the series after the last book came out. I already read some spoilers but it doesn't take away from the experience, really. Some people even read it over and over again --- and they already KNOW what happens.
its funny that you complain about people spoiling the books but then you ask if there are any more surprises in harry potter.
Don't let the spoilers get to you, there is a lot of twists and turns. Enjoy the books as you read them. There are many twists and turns that i am sure many people have not said on here. Some times the spoilers are bad but if you sit down and dive into the world of harry it should not matter. Harry takes each person to a different place i am sure. there will be times you laugh with harry and times you will cry with him. there is not much more i can say with out spoiling it. just enjoy the books. =)
the fact that dumbledore died means absolutely nothing to you except that dumbledore died. The circumstances of his death, the events leading up to it, the purpose of it, the effects of it, etc. are all woven into the story. knowing the flat fact of it will not spoil too much. Remember, the books don't revolve around dumbledore, they revolve around harry and his relationships with the people around him.
you have to finish reading the series, while the series have officially ended JK Rowling published a book that was released a few days ago it was mentioned in book 7.
you have to understand that there are so many Harry Potter fans and it keeps growing even though it has finished. i had some slight spoilers when the last two books were released but i still read them because im a big Harry Potter fan.
in the end the only advice i can give is if you like the books read it, but if you dont like the books dont read them. hope this helps
I started reading the books after the second movie came out and while I missed out on the major surprises the journey of Harry and his friends kept me completely interested. What you have heard is true but there are so many things that happen that the movies have left out. Keep reading. The third book was my favorite and the movie does not do it justice. I can't even begin to count the surprises, every time I read the series I find something new to love about it. One more tip, stay off the internet sites about the Harry Potter series and cover your ears if your friends start talking about the books!
I hate spoilers too but they've never spoiled anything for me becasue I finshd readign the books very quickly after they came out. Trust me, you may think that they entire series is ruined, but it's not. There's no way that people could have blown every secret, though they may have blown some big ones, and that was every inconsiderate of them. Jsut read them and try to enjoy them as you go along. There are still some secrets and surprises in there. Read and you'll find out :)
well, the book series finished last year. I was spoiled, too, but I enjoyed the books, anyway. even if someone has said like 'dumbledore dies' you still don't know who, why, how, and for what. there is still a lot of stuff you won't understand until you read the entire book series. it can never be fully spoiled, because there are just too many complications.
Well when people spoil me like that I am upset.
But I don't stop reading because of that.
There are some more surprises.
But If i get spoiled I keep reading. I find that I still enjoy it because there are those little cute, funny, or Amazing parts that they don't tell you because they are minor. And you get to enjoy those for yourself.
It sucks that people told you things about the books before you've read them but there is so much more to them. There are a ton of more surprises besides the death of dumbledore. Many other large characters die, though I won't say who. Plus just the way JK Rowling writes the events are great. Even if you know what happens she writes amazingly and you won't be bored.
well you might be surprised by the relationships in the next few books ginny is very happy although she moves through boyfriends very fast in her 5th year and hermione is in quite a bind in the goblet of fire with rita skeeter but its all good but tell me how do you like the series? when you finnish the series check out www.hpana.com they have awesome forums for everyone of the books!
By reading it a LONG time ago.
Seriously me ad friends have been yelling about the snape dumbledor thing at school whenever someone's reading twilight we tell them that's how it eds.
I don't konw how anyone would expect to NOT kow what happes i harry potter at this point in time.
I hate spoilers, I try to stay away as much as possible.
The Half-Blood prince did not affect me the way Deathly Hallows did because people to me everything that happened. But in the Deathly Hallows I only heard one small thing about it, and it was much more enjoyable!
So stay away as much as possible!
Good luck!
Just ignore the spoilers and still enjoy the books. I remember my little sister reading the last chapter of the last book first and telling what happens to the character. I was upset, but I still enjoyed reading the book.
The series was concluded last year. I'm not going to say all that much, but if you know about what happens to Dumbledore and how the series ends, there are still some things left which might surprise you.
I find it hard for me to not read the last chapter and not spoil the ending hahaha... but if you don't like spoilers then don't read about them. and oh ya there are lots more surprises! the books are great! i love them...
there are always stuff people forget to "spoil".
it makes me mad that they do, but i'm guilty of it.
if those are the only two things you know then I would TOTALLY read the books.
Trust me, knowing those tidibits of information doesn't spoil the series at all; there's so much more to it, and you'll definitely enjoy it. :)
um there is a lot more surprises in the 6 and 7 ones.dont stop reading theres a lot of things you dont know yet.keep on reading or you will regret it!
it will stilll be good
itll kinda be like when you read books after youve already read them once - its stilll good and youre still affected
i hope you still ebjoy them becasue theyre GREAT books!
most of what people say are stupid rumors. Or misunderstandings. for now, let people know you dont want them to tell you anything.
haha act it out, you know "larping" live action roleplaying, be serious about it,
Just don't think about it. Besides the books have more details then the spoilers so you should still enjoy them.
You can't. You wouldn't enjoy them even if no one did spoil it.
Ignore the people who spoil the story, thats what I do.
