What is the 'adult edition' of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

I have seen a few webpages referring to pictures of the frontcover of the "adult edition" of the UK version of the 7th Harry Potter book. Does anyone know what the difference is supposed to be between the adult version and the normal one? Which version are we getting in America?

It's the exact same as the childrens edition but with a different front cover. It was brought out by the publishers after the 3rd book - when they realized adults were reading HP too and they thought it would be a good idea so adults wouldnt have to carry around a childrens book.

Just the cover look at the wikipedia page for harry potter books and look at the uk cover its to childish. people wouldnt want to be seen with it.

Just the cover.

Good wizards gone bad- the uncut harry potter version, where harry learns the spell declothesefy

the cover is just different

they have a different front cover then the childrens edition that all

thats the adult version.

As far as I can tell the cover is the only difference, and we don't get either of the covers that the UK gets. The children's is usually cartoonish and colorful, and the adult cover looks more like a thriller. I think it's just so adults don't have to walk around carrying what looks like a children's book. :)

its just the cover art's that different. and well possibly the number of pages since theres a different number of words on each page and the page seizes are different. in america you can get the adult edition, bloomsbury edition, or the scholastic one. the thing with the adult edition is just that the background is mainly black with an image according to the book so it doesn't seem like they're reading a colourful "kid's" book. the material's the same though

the only difference is that the cover art is made to look ore mature and appealing to older readers. you can get either version (normal or adult) in any country. the story inside is exactly the same.

maybe Harry gets laid in the "adult version"

there are a lot of sex scenes in the adult version

also, a lot of explicit and R-rated language is used, as well as all extreme profanity used in the english language.

its really bad, u need a ID card to buy that book!!!!!

I am pretty sure that the ADULT contains swearing etc, like in the Half Blood Prince, sl*t is used.

I am sure, that in the children version, something less adult would be used, like, say for instance, prostitute.

Less violence, i would also say.

The covers are also different. The version, does not change the entire story line, just a few words or actions.
