Is the 7th Harry Potter movie going to be split into 2 parts?

Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows that is. I heard they are going to break it up into part 1 then the next year there will be part 2? Is this true?

Yes. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1" (so far, that is the actual name) will be released on November 19th, 2010. The fact that "Half Blood Prince" was pushed back has not and will not affect the release date of either of the last two films. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" will be released sometime in May of the year 2011.

So, the time difference will actually be between 6 and 7 months, depending on when in May the second part is released, so we will only have to wait half a year, like with the last two Matrix films.

yes, it is, unfortunatley true.

JK said that she just could not bear for the final movie to have anything left out, as has happened in the other movies..

so, yes, it's true, the 7th will be split into two, the release of the two i am not sure about...

How do you feel about the Harry Potter series comming to an end?

What do you think? How did you feel about the ending of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

its definitely the best series i have read and i will definitely miss harry and jk rowling

it was the best ending she could make of it though so props to rowling

devastated..... it's like I lost someone today.

:(

but what an amzing ride we have had.....

*tears* J.K. Rowling is amazing.

This book is most likley my facorite and i won't give anything away but that ending seemed to sum it all up. Read to get what i mean. And Harry Potter will never be over because he'll always live on in J.K.Rowling and our hearts.

LOVE IT, except she needed more info on the life/jobs and stuff. also that the last chapter was WAY LONGER (same thing but different lol)

i am stilll very sad that it is over cuz i feel whenever i was bored my mind would drift off into Harry Potter land :'( i am SO gunna miss it!!!!!! but it was fun!!!!!!

The books coming to an end was a shock to me. I love reading the Harry Potter books. Every time a new book came out, to me it was like the world of Harry Potter would continue for at least a few more years after the seventh book. But, even though someone might continue the series, it wont be the same.

I don't care all that much. I haven't even read books 5 or 6 yet. Don't get me wrong they're great books and all but it's not like it's a life altering event or something.

So Sad!

its tough honestly.

Nick U-http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-2.3lMEU_cqVYuZepemv4PSjm06jmRQ--;_ylt=Asl3PWu6FMJcFdTw.6YtOPfmAOJ3?cq=1

Very, very sad. It's truly the end of an era. ;o(

it was alrite

it was far to predictible in my opinion

and the 19 yrs later thing sounded lik jk got it from a bad fanfiction

the deaths were sad but somewhat expected because its a war involving voldemort

the 3 main characters remained lovable as everas did neville and luna

and i absolutely loved the part where ron saves harry from the horcrux in the forest

and ron/hermiones kiss and harrys reaction

I am still in denial. I am hoping for a spin off at least!

i wish i could go on

horrible!!!! *sobs*

I hope she does not try and continue it I can not stand the books or all these obbsesed fans who keep crying because they think harry potter might die. ITS A BOOK HARRY POT HEAD IS NOT REAL! IF HE DIES GET OVER IT. Besides the last chapter of the book is 19 years later so he does live.

doesnt really matter. dont like harry potter

Why do other people spoil the Harry Potter book before they had the chance to read it?

Every time i've ever tried answering a question about the talked about Harry Potter series, which I love as well...I noticed that they try to spoil on the last book, which i'm currently reading...I already know i'm behind on...But why do they want to ruin the best parts of a book and expect everyone to have the same reaction to what they had? If your gonna read a book your gonna find out your own right? Please give complete and honest opinions on this question!

Spoilers were a cottage industry on the Internet when the book was released. Just the nature of pop culture.

I know, i had to hurry to read it on the weekend it came out, cause i knew people would spoil it for me (which i didn't quite manage and guess who spoiled it... my BF! it was an acident but i was furious!) i think the people who tell the people who spoil it are just as bad, they say they are only going to tell the people who are not going to read it, but the only reason they want to know is so that they can spoil it for everyone else! think people! use some logic!

Because they are assholes, even though it's funny.

You pain nourishes other people.

You are rigth, but there have been doing that in this forum, and anywere you are around, sometimes it's not even the purpose, but if you ask something about the subject, you migth get some information you don't want to have yet.

What i mean is that not everyone knows if you already read it, if you have finished it, or if you have start the reading, many of them just want to give an opinion.

I'm behind / but really behind since i hadn't had the time to read the sixth, wich i'm just finishing so i can start the seventh, so i'm staying away of the subject for a while, because i don't want to hear about it, and i know if i ask, or read any questions about Harry Potter, i migth get some advances on what i haven't read yet!

Because they're mean people who don't care about harry potter that find it funny to spoil it for other people.

I think that its just because everyones so excited that they finished the book, that they want to discuss it with everyone. A stragtey that I used was that I didn't go onto the computer till I was done it. That way I wouldn't get spoiled and I could then talk about it. But I think that if somebody is going to ask a question about the new Harry Potter book, the they should say so.

I would like to discuss the book with others, but I also agree with you. People should not give away the endings to ANY book... but I heard my fair share of "spoilers" before readingthe book, and found that the spoilers were wrong. Basically, don't believe what you read; also, be careful which questions you try to answer.

Enjoy the book!

Then don't ask questions about it until ur done! You could of had a chapter done instead of writing this stupid question! Tisk tisk! Go read! Its exciting!

As in other high profile books, some people want to naturally discuss it. When you engage others in conversation about the books, you need to remember that they will assume you have read the book. The best course of action is to go ahead and read the book, and keep it in mind when discussing with others that they may have not finished the book. I have not read one of the Harry Potter books, because I have zero interest in them. However, if someone is talking to me about them, I listen and politely explain that I haven't read them.

i don't think all of them do it intentionally. some may have assumed that everyone has finished the book already. however those that do spoil the book on purpose are just as bad as Voldemort.

Why is the American and British harry potter different?

Like the american harry potter and the deathly hallows had 759 pages while the british one had 604 I wanna no if the american one had like extra stuff in it and stuff. I mean i no they change some slang words up but like 150 pages more there's something up there maybe they had a better epologue i dunno you guys tell me thanks.

In the text itself they are not that different. It just happens that Americans and British speak differently and spell some things differently, so Scholastic changes it into a more American adaption. If you go to wikipedia you could see the differences. Regarding the pages the American edition is a different and bigger font size. Also it is printed on larger paper. I think that makes the difference in pages. The other books were the same way.

In the UK, they read with an accent.

i think it has somthing to do with how they print the book, like how big the font is, is it double spaced? things like that...

The text of the two editions is identical...only the covers, physical size of the pages, and formatting of the text is different. The latter two explain the difference in page count.

Edit: Of course, I'm wondering if the typos were repeated. I found an incorrect use of "too" (spelled "to") and my wife, an editor, found a couple of other mistakes.

Second edit: The first book published in America had some minor changes in regard to British vs. American English...i.e.; "mum" was changed to "mom." And, of course, they changed the title. But they stopped doing that in later books.

Wow that is a big difference. I have not read the British version. The USA version has 36 chapters and the epilouge is from pages 753-759. . Cant tell you anything else. Sorry

What is the 'adult edition' of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

I have seen a few webpages referring to pictures of the frontcover of the "adult edition" of the UK version of the 7th Harry Potter book. Does anyone know what the difference is supposed to be between the adult version and the normal one? Which version are we getting in America?

It's the exact same as the childrens edition but with a different front cover. It was brought out by the publishers after the 3rd book - when they realized adults were reading HP too and they thought it would be a good idea so adults wouldnt have to carry around a childrens book.

Just the cover look at the wikipedia page for harry potter books and look at the uk cover its to childish. people wouldnt want to be seen with it.

Just the cover.

Good wizards gone bad- the uncut harry potter version, where harry learns the spell declothesefy

the cover is just different

they have a different front cover then the childrens edition that all

http://english.people.com.cn/200703/29/images/xinsrc_152030429125684327911.jpg

thats the adult version.

As far as I can tell the cover is the only difference, and we don't get either of the covers that the UK gets. The children's is usually cartoonish and colorful, and the adult cover looks more like a thriller. I think it's just so adults don't have to walk around carrying what looks like a children's book. :)

its just the cover art's that different. and well possibly the number of pages since theres a different number of words on each page and the page seizes are different. in america you can get the adult edition, bloomsbury edition, or the scholastic one. the thing with the adult edition is just that the background is mainly black with an image according to the book so it doesn't seem like they're reading a colourful "kid's" book. the material's the same though

the only difference is that the cover art is made to look ore mature and appealing to older readers. you can get either version (normal or adult) in any country. the story inside is exactly the same.

maybe Harry gets laid in the "adult version"

there are a lot of sex scenes in the adult version

also, a lot of explicit and R-rated language is used, as well as all extreme profanity used in the english language.

its really bad, u need a ID card to buy that book!!!!!

I am pretty sure that the ADULT contains swearing etc, like in the Half Blood Prince, sl*t is used.

I am sure, that in the children version, something less adult would be used, like, say for instance, prostitute.

Less violence, i would also say.

The covers are also different. The version, does not change the entire story line, just a few words or actions.
