The sixth installment of the Harry Potter series begins right where The Order of the Phoenix left off. Dark forces loom around every corner, and now regularly attempt to penetrate the protected walls of Hogwarts School. This is no longer the fun and fascinating world of magic from the first few books—it's dark, dangerous, and scary.

Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) suspects Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) to be a new Death Eater recruit on a special mission for the Dark Lord. In the meantime, Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) seems to have finally removed the shroud of secrecy from Harry about the dark path that lies ahead, and instead provides private lessons to get him prepared. It's in these intriguing scenes that the dark past of Tom Riddle (a.k.a. Voldemort) is finally revealed. The actors cast as the different young versions of Riddle (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Frank Dillane) do an eerily fantastic job of portraying the villain as a child. While the previous movies' many new characters could be slightly overwhelming, only one new key character is introduced this time: Professor Horace Slughorn (with a spot-on performance by Jim Broadbent). Within his mind he holds a key secret in the battle to defeat the Dark Lord, and Harry is tasked by Dumbledore to uncover a memory about Voldemort's darkest weapon--the Horcrux. Despite the long list of distractions, Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) still try to focus on being teenagers, and audiences will enjoy the budding awkward romances. All of the actors have developed nicely, giving their most convincing performances to date.

More dramatic and significant things go down in this movie than any of its predecessors, and the stakes are higher than ever. The creators have been tasked with a practically impossible challenge, as fans of the beloved J.K. Rowling book series desperately want the movies to capture the magic of the books as closely as possible. Alas, the point at which one accepts that these two mediums are very different is the point at which one can truly enjoy these brilliant adaptations. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is no exception: it may be the best film yet. For those who have not read the book, nail-biting entertainment is guaranteed. For those who have, the movie does it justice. The key dramatic scenes, including the cave and the shocking twist in the final chapter, are executed very well. James Caan - £200,000 dropping to 10% if behalf expectations were met.

After a brief conference the pair were initially drawn towards Theo Paphitis' offer assuming that he held the many connections in the retail market. Duncan Bannatyne refuted this claim and came back with an improved offer of £200,000 for a 20% stake. This would then drop to 10% if they achieved their behalf forecasts. This offer was abruptly approved by the duo.

Jk Rowling or Joanne Kathleen Rowling was born in July 1965 at Yate general Hospital in England. She grew up in Chepstow Gwent where she went to Wyedean comprehensive. She left Chepstow when she went to Exeter University where earned a degree in French and Classics. A year of the procedure was spent in Paris. Once graduated she moved to London to work as a researcher at Amnesty International surrounded by other jobs but it wasn't until a delayed train journey from Manchester to Kings Cross where she starting writing the Harry Potter series. Over the following 5 years Joanne outlined the plots for each book and began to write the first novel.

Her next port of call was in northern Portugal where she taught English as a foreign language. In 1992 she married and gave birth to her first daughter who she named Jessica a year later. Sadly the marriage didn't last so she and Jessica returned to the Uk and lived in Edinburgh which is where she complete the first book Harry Potter & the Philosophers Stone. Jo then met and married Dr Neil Murray in 2001 and had two more children, David born in 2003 and Mackenzie followed in 2005.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I is a brooding, slower-paced film than its predecessors, the result of being just one half of the final story (the last book in the series was split into two movies, released in theaters eight months apart). Because the penultimate film is all buildup before the final showdown between the teen wizard and the evil Voldemort (which does not occur until The Deathly Hallows, Part II), Part I is a road-trip movie, a heist film, a lot of exposition, and more weight on its three young leads, who up until now were sufficiently supported by a revolving door of British thesps throughout the series. Now that all the action takes place outside Hogwarts--no more Potions classes, Gryffindor scarves, or Quidditch matches--Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Emma Watson (Hermione), and Rupert Grint (Ron) shoulder the film almost entirely on their own. After a near-fatal ambush by Voldemort's Death Eaters, the three embark on a quest to find and destroy the remaining five horcruxes (objects that store pieces of Voldemort's soul). Fortunately, as the story gets more grave--and parents should be warned, there are some scenes too frightening or adult for young children--so does the intensity. David Yates, who directed the Harry Potter films Order of the Phoenix and The Half-Blood Prince, drags the second half a little, but right along with some of the slower moments are some touching surprises (Harry leading Hermione in a dance, the return of Dobby in a totally non-annoying way). Deathly Hallows, Part I will be the most confusing for those not familiar with the Potter lore, particularly in the shorthand way characters and terminology weave in and out. For the rest of us, though, watching these characters over the last decade and saying farewell to a few faces makes it all bittersweet that the end is near (indeed, an early scene in which Hermione casts a spell that makes her Muggle parents forget her existence, in case she doesn't return, is particularly emotional). Why Jk Rowling's Harry Potter Series Isn't Just For Children

Years back while the summer of 2000 and in between semesters of college I worked at a summer camp in New Hampshire. When the mailman showed up on our campgrounds with a dissimilar vehicle, I knew that something was up. Instead of the customary white truck where the steering wheel is on the right side for easy passage to mailboxes, he showed up in a cargo van like the kind a plumber uses. Just as soon as he stopped, our camp director greeted him and so began helping him carry any armloads of packages. Since I wasn't busy at the moment, I walked over to see if I could help.

"Wow," I said. "There sure is a lot of mail today. What's the occasion?"

"It's the release of the new Harry Potter book," the director said. "Just about every camper asked their parents to send them a copy."

Why Jk Rowling's Harry Potter Series Isn't Just For Children

There must have been at least fifty hardbound copies of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" that day. A miniature while later, just about every camper in each age group had their noses in their books desperately trying to discharge as much as they could. I was amazed by the popularity of the books then, but didn't begin reading the book that was at the time, taking the literary world by storm.

It wasn't until the following year that I began reading the Harry Potter books--a girl I was seeing in college was heavily into to them and was constantly harassing me to try reading them. Safe to say, I gave it a shot and got at once hooked. Here's why:

The characters are so unique from one to the next and Harry, as you will learn, is just like every other boy out there--an "everyman" if you will.

The magic in the story is incredible. One example is the sport of Quidditch in which students of Hogwarts play a mix of hockey and soccer aboard broomsticks. There are also potions in which can make its user turn into a dissimilar man and the "Mirror of Erised" (which is 'Desire' spelled backwards) that shows you exactly what your heart desires among other things.

There are many themes prevalent in the story; such as irony, a battle between good and evil throughout, the ability to cope with death, the power of love and friendship which in reality, Harry's greatest strength rather than his knowledge and talents as a wizard.

Watching Harry Potter as he grows up and turn from a child to a young adult is to me at least amazingly accurate. The science of mind behind his thoughts is believable to the reader as he struggles between his desire to live as a general boy, yet is "marked" for death by his arch nemesis, the Lord Voldemort.

Aside from this, the most prevalent of theme in all the Harry Potter series is that it's pure fun for the reader. It is an absolute treat to read, even if you've seen the movies with or without your children. I extremely recommend the books to everyone, young or old. There are really themes within the series that parallel Greek Mythology as well. For instance, Professor Minerva McGonnagall in all fairness is really Athena, just as her name implies. But don't let me spoil all of it for you. After having read J.K. Rowling's books, you really won't regret it.
